Refugees from the country!

There was a big ice storm Thursday. It rained ice. The south is weird. Anyway, Jeff and Linnea and Eva haven't had power since the storm, so they came to see us for the weekend.

Here's Eva, getting ready for summer. It's her first birthday this week, and these were some of her presents. We also had a great party for her on Sunday. Pictures to follow.

It was a beautiful day, so the boys took advantage of it and played outside while Bre went swimming. Charlie loves the sun, but hates it in his eyes, hence the glasses! I think I need to get him a baby visor! How adorable would that be?

Charlie is back!

For a few days, my happy, easygoing baby Charlie was kidnapped and replaced by a grumpy, cranky, crying baby who hated sleeping. But Charlie has finally been returned to me (I think). He slept a good amount last night and is in a much better mood this morning. Look at this happy boy! Yay Charlie!

Logan Meets Charlie (Sort of)

Little Charlie hasn't gotten to meet most of his friends from New Jersey yet... but word about him is spreading fast!  Here's little Logan Claudio taking a look at Charlie's photo!  So cute!

Avett and Molly and Laura came over today to play. Avey was very excited to hold baby Charlie, and it was adorable. He was very gentle and took good care of the grumpy baby.

The adventures of young Charlie

Today, Charlie and I went to the museum with some friends. We stayed a little bit later than our friends, and when we got out to our car, it wouldn't start. So we called Petie and he came over from work to give us a jump start. While we waited, we took some pictures in my car. Is this the cutest face you've ever seen? I love this shirt and this hat! Both super cute!

Charlie IS growing!

Charlie had his 2 month appointment today.

The doc says he looks great and he is growing well. Here's his new vital stats:

His height is 23.6 inches (67%), weight is 11 lbs 6 oz (19%) and his head circumference is 39.2 cm (43%).

So he's tall and skinny and growing everyday! He also got a bunch of vaccine shots, and he did great.

Charlie is growing!

Charlie is having a growth spurt! This means that he wants to eat all the time! Even all night! So mommy and baby haven't gotten much sleep the last 3 nights. We are both super tired, but it means Charlie falls asleep at funny times. This morning, he fell asleep while I was giving him a bath. Then he feel asleep on his toy mat, looking at himself in the mirror. Handsome boy!

Charlie activities!

Hi y'all!

I get to watch Charlie when Bre goes swimming - we have lots of fun together.  Usually he reads the New Yorker to me, while I doze off.

This time Charlie started playing with his little play-area-thingy in a way I hadn't seen before - he's batting away at all the things, and sometimes (accidentally?) grabbing them!

It's super fun to watch.  And way less boring than the stupid New Yorker articles he's always reading to me.  What are they?  Like 30 pages each?

Poppy's poker party
