Overalls!

I went to the kids consignment store with my lady friends yesterday. I promised myself I wouldn't buy any clothes, but I couldn't help myself when I saw these monkey overalls. I also bought Charlie a bathing suit. Pics of that to follow. Check out these overalls! They are a little big, but I love them.

Look at this picture. Charlie is in his swing, which has a mirrored dome right over his head. He likes looking at the mirror A LOT. Today I caught him making faces at himself. It was pretty amazing. Check this out!

Snow Day part 2

Charlie and I went for a long hike in the snow today, down in the Duke Forest. The whole creek was frozen over.

Now we are warm and back home and Charlie is asleep on me.  He kinda looks like a lumberjack in his red plaid outfit.

Snow Day!

We got a couple of inches of snow last night. It's all very pretty! So we all took a slippery stroll around the neighborhood in the snow.

And here's Charlie. This was at the end of the walk, and he was hungry and crying. You can see he's very bundled up for the cold! But he kept breaking that hand out.

And this picture is from the middle of the night. He loves sleeping like this, with his fist balled up and his head on top of his fist. It's my favorite! So cute!

Snow day in January

So yesterday was sunny and 60 degrees. Today the high is in the 30s and there will be snow this afternoon.

Spring day in January

It was a beautiful day today! Charlie and I went to the playground with Avett and Molly and their mom Laura, and Mabel and her mom Samantha. It was wonderful and sunny and warm. Charlie slept the whole time, probably because the sun makes him happy and sleepy like it makes me. Here are some pictures of Charlie's friends.

Fitness Friday!

Yesterday, my doctor gave the ok to start exercising again. I'm very excited! So this morning, Charlie and I did a Jillian Michaels workout. Well, Charlie sat in his swing while I did it. But he didn't seem to mind, and found the whole experience quite soporific. 

Now we are taking a nap together. What lovely times!

It's a cold, cold day in Durham

And it's getting colder. So besides a quick run to the doc this morning (for me- I'm officially fully recovered!) we've been hiding in house all day.

Here's Charlie on his activity gym. He's very alert and looking at stuff now. He is also sleeping less during the day.

And here's Charlie on my nursing pillow. It looks to me like I caught a little grin there!  He is smiling these days, but I'm not sure if it's intentional yet.  But it's still adorable.

Also, wiki is very handsome and these two boys love each other!

One month appointment

Charlie had his one month appointment today. He's gaining weight and growing, but he's small for his age!

Only 15% for his weight, and 10% for his height. He's 8 lbs 15 oz and 21 inches. The doc says he looks good and healthy!

Mlk holiday

We had a pretty exciting day today. We got to spend the day with Laura and her kids Molly and Avett. Avett is Pete's best friend. We got pancakes, and then spent the afternoon at the playground. Charlie slept most of the time. Here he is! Look at those monkey feet!

Charlie's bestie Eva came over last night. Look at the awesomeness she was rocking! Adorable and super warm for that cold NC night.

Charlie goes to the pub

This evening, I stopped by my favorite pub to see some old friends. Charlie made a new best friend, Cookie. Seriously, I was thinking about bringing her home with me! Look how happy Charlie is!

New clothes!

Charlie has officially outgrown his newborn clothes, and is into the next size, 3 months. So we have all new adorable things to wear! It's all very exciting! Here's what he is wearing now. It says "Daddy & Me" and has polar bears on it. Pretty great, right?

This week, we used all of our BabiesRUs gift cards to buy an awesome new glider for Charlie. It looks great in the nursery and Charlie loves it. It puts him right to sleep!

After Charlie eats, he likes to fall asleep in funny positions. We call this milk drunk! 

Thursday adventure

Charlie is ready for a fun day! We are going for a walk in the Duke gardens, then stoping by the library. Then we are having lunch with Carlos and Sarah! Charlie looks adorable!
