A Day At Marbles

Sometimes on rainy days we go to a place down the street that has kids music lessons, but, more importantly, it also has a huge play area.  Charlie and Maggie love it.

Ninja school has temporarily replaced swim team in the cold weather.  It's... pretty cool!

Maggie wanted to go to the state fair, too, so now Charlie & Daddy got a special day together!

After doing some NINJA class (videos to come), Charlie and Daddy wanted to go to the comic book store. But we had to waste 15 minutes to wait for it to open... so... we... saw... Fish?



But then we got to go to the comic book store.  Charlie wanted this Cthulhu, but I said no.




Charlie could not get the Cthulhu doll.... but we did get an all-ages comic book - what a great day!

Maggie At the Park

Bre wanted to bring Charlie to the State Fair.  I don't particularly care for the state fair, and Maggie and Charlie like to do different stuff at the fair - so I got to spend a morning with Maggie!

It was splendid!

We found these glasses on the ground.  But... they're adorable!  Also, we spent 3 hours in this swing.

Charlie had so much fun at the beach last week - he learned to boogie board, like... kind of for real!

We had a little too much fun on the way home from the beach.  So much so that Maggie fell asleep on the swings at the pumpkin patch.  So cute!

Charlie recently got good at pinball, like hitting the flippers at the right time, and generally having fun with it.





He gets pretty excited when he does well!

Sometimes Charlie gets a special treat like... an afternoon at Beer Study!  (It's kind of a treat for Mommy, too!)

He plays all the games.  Sometimes he doesn't even need real quarters to play, like RAIDEN:

I swear we didn't treat Maggie any different than Charlie, but while Charlie loves running and jumping Maggie loves to play dress up! (Maggie loves to run and jump, too, to be fair)

Like all kids, Charlie sometimes has a hard time when we get to school.  Luckily his teachers are amazing, and they will typically send us a picture like this about 10 minutes after we drop him off kicking and screaming.  He recovers quite quickly with them around!

Our neighbors have a great outdoor cat (Toonces!) who hunts for mice and snakes and generally keeps the neighborhood safe for us.
