Wiki

Just over 11 years ago, Sam Keene came to visit and brought us the dirtiest, stinkiest and fartiest dog ever known. Sam found him wandering the freeway and lured him into his car with a meatball sub. He had been living in the woods for weeks. But the first time he met me, he jumped up and pawed my leg. He stole my heart. I named him Wiki, after my favorite baseball player. His full name was Wiki "Samuel L Keene the dog" Kerchner.

Wiki loved going for walks around campus to find discarded chicken wings. And he loved going to the quarry with me even though I threw him in the water. He loved to eat anything and everything. And he loved to curl up into a donut and sleep snuggled next to my butt.

Today we had to put Wiki down. He was a mighty fine dog, and I'm going to miss him.

Charlie playing with his cousin Sabas!

Charlie loves his cousin Sabas!  He asks about him all the time - "Is Sabas coming?" "Where Sabas?"

The Torriones come to visit...

Thanksgiving

We had Kenny, Samantha, Mabel, and Kristen over for thanksgiving. Pete smoked a turkey, and the ladies made sides. Kristen taught Pete how to carve a turkey! We all had a wonderful, relaxing day.

Uncles

4 months!

Look at this beautiful 4 month old! She's still super happy all the time, and still sleeping like a champ! She weighs 14 lbs, 6 oz (50 percentile) and is 25 inches tall (75 percentile). She got her shots today while her big brother held her hand. It was adorable!

Charlie's Other Other Family!

When me and Charlie were out shopping for Bre's birthday gift, we came across these little smileyface clay circle things that Charlie fell in love with.  And whatever - they were like 79cents each.  So we got four, and he picked them out in our four favorite colors (favorite as decided by Charlie - Bre is yellow, I am orange, Charlie is green, and Maggie is Purple).

Now he LOVES these things.  He likes to make believe that they are a little family and he has them drive places ("the museum") and play.  It's pretty adorable.

On the way to the neighborhood Halloween Party!
